The always original and musically entertaining, The Buttercream Gang, have a new album coming out and it’s already getting buzz around the bay. Featured in both The Bay Bridged and Impose this week, the first single, “Couch Games,” is getting rave reviews as “a euphemism for the rules of ‘guessing game’ engagement along with the spry and catchy makings of a step-forward-step-back couples dance.” Mixed by Patrick Brown, the whimsical, beachy Caribbean song also has the band’s signature African guitar parts and Latin American brass and percussion.
Celebrating the release of their fourth album, Oh Brother, The Buttercream Gang will be having an album release party on Friday, December 7th. Catch them play alongside Surf Club and Horrorscope at the Brick and Mortar Music Hall. Doors open at 8pm and $7 tickets can be bought here.
