Since Halloween is on Wednesday this year (bleh) celebrate the weekend before with Yacht and Midi Matilda. Presented by Mr. Roboto and WillCall, not only will there be a Halloween Costume Party with a $500 prize for best costume, but the entertainment provided by these two highly energetic, dance inducing bands will definitely get the Halloween festivities off to a good start. With the techno pop sound similar to LCD Soundsystem and Architecture in Helsinki, Yacht is the perfect combination of techno staccato beats, catchy guitar parts, vocal harmonies, and cowbells. The only band that can match the energetic intensity of Yacht, and worthy of the opening slot, is Midi Matilda. Formed nearly a year ago, Midi Matilda has quickly gained fans for their upbeat electro pop music and entertaining live shows and has established themselves as one of the best new bands in the bay area.
