The Trims are often compared to The Strokes and Joy Division, and while they’re in good company, their soon to be released EP, “Bright Lights City” will only help distinguish them from the comparisons. With help from Nic Pope, who engineered two songs, the latest output from The Trims is a darker approach to their music yet still offers the heavy guitar and bass parts that have garnered fans for this San Jose band.
