WillCall is having their first ever pop-up show this Friday, with Geographer and Sister Crayon. Founded in San Francisco, WillCall is an app designed to make it easier for fans to grab last minute tickets to concerts, plays, and other live performances. Before embarking on a fall tour with Freelance Whales, San Francisco trio, Geographer will play a hometown show at this exclusive event following last weekend’s performance at Outside Lands. Describing their music as indie rock/synth pop, they distinguish themselves from others in that lumped category by utilizing all of their musical talents to create a big, cohesive sound, as heard on their album, Myth.
Sister Crayon’s Terra Lopez’s haunting vocals seem to effortlessly float over the beats and keyboard parts provided by bandmates, Dani Fernandez and Omar Barajas. Both bands are vets when it comes to entertaining a crowd, and this is a can’t miss event at The Lodge in the Regency Ballroom. $12 tickets can be purchased through the WillCall app on the day of the show.
