Presented by Thizzler on the Roof, the Bay Area Freshmen 10 Class of 2012 Cypher features AkaFrank, Kool John, and Smoovie Baby. Representing Fairfield and Richmond, the guys recorded their rhymes at Different Fur with Jorge Hernandez on sound. As the first installment to Thizzler’s Back to School Week, these hip hop artists are three of the chosen ten that we’re nominated by the public and then chosen by music professionals to represent this year’s crop of emerging artists. If past alumni for this yearly honor, which include Kreayshawn and Show Banga, are any indication, great things are in store for these artists.
