Releasing his debut album, Times All Gone, Nick Waterhouse‘s fresh approach to old school R&B has enough 1950′s influenced horns and crooning to make up for the monotony of most music these days. After selling out his self-produced pressing of his 45″ single “Some Place,” it’s no surprise that his show at the Verdi Club has also sold out. Passionately singing, playing guitar and performing on stage with The Tarots, the big band sound of the brass instruments and trio of female backup singers is reminiscent to that of Sharon Jones and Amy Winehouse. Playing his last California show before touring Europe, hopefully you we’re lucky enough to get a ticket in time. The show starts at 8pm.
