Performing since the 70′s, funk and soul singer, Darondo, has opened for James Brown and recently collaborated with The Park on the 7″ Silvercloud Time Machine. Making the video for “Jesse James,” the syncopated, modern approach to funk is undeniable as the highly esteemed rhythm section of The Park, joins Darondo and Happy Mayfield. With the chorus, “I’ll shoot you up just like Jesse James,” the grittiness of the lyrics are the perfect fit for the rawness of the music formed by the three musical counterparts. Also keep a look out for guest appearances from Jesse Boykins III and Mara Hruby. Directed by Jordan Riggs, video premiers this week on Okayplayer.
