Presenting another installment to the “In My Room” series, recorded at SXSW, Yours Truly showcases Charli XCX as she performs “You’re the One” (sound by Patrick Brown.) Showcasing her experimental, goth pop sound, the intimate video displays her passion and connection to her music. The imagery of the music and visuals of the video parallels Charli XCX’s mission to “build worlds within my music and to create a tension between vulnerable childhood innocence and knowing darkness.” Only nineteen years old, with no signs of stopping, it won’t be long before small shows such as these are rare.
