If you’ve ever wanted to know what Different Fur looks like behind the doors of 3470 19th St., host Paavo Steinkamp takes viewers on a tour of his former abode in our lovely recording studio. Far since the days of sleeping above a closet, Paavo’s new gig as host of American Hipster Presents follows him as he travels across the country to profile the trendsetters and showstoppers in everything related to music, art, food, and style.
In the fourth installment of the popular YouTube channel, American Hipster Presents shows a behind the scenes look of the shooting of a Yours Truly video, featuring The Walkmen. A very intimate environment is created as The Walkmen perform “That’s the Punchline,” ultimately making the viewer feel as if they’re watching a friend’s jam session. The four founders of Yours Truly SF describe their passion in creating moments such as those while showcasing and collaborating with artists that may not always be the most mainstream acts. Working and exposing artists such as Chromeo, Tyler the Creator, Local Natives, Grimes, and The Morning Benders (to name a few), I think they have succeeded.
