Mister Loveless, B. Hamilton, French Cassettes @ Uptown Theater // 4.6

April 5th, 2012  |  Published in Upcoming Shows

This Friday night, four local bands are playing a FREE show at the Uptown Nightclub in Oakland.

French Cassettes are a sunshine soaked pop band laden with catchy hooks and lyrics from these four high school friends from Ripon. Keeping listeners on their toes with the unpredictability of their music and their ability to make you dance, will surely get the night started off on the right foot.

B. Hamilton describes themselves as “amplifiers and drums from Oakland.” With an alternative rock sound mixed with heavy percussion and a touch of blues, this multi-genre band has an uniquely distinct sound with unrelenting energy that comes alive on stage.

Mister Loveless have been keeping themselves busy with a recent set of performances at SXSW and working on their forthcoming full length album. With earnest lyrics weaved into postpunk, rock songs; listeners will be on the brink of tears one minute and in a mosh inducing frenzy during the next.

Religious Girls are composed of multi-intsrumentalists that channel their musical abilities into layers of harmonies and staccato rhythms into one cohesive sound. Doors for the show open at 6pm and the show starts at 9pm.
