Creating their music by mixing samples from their favorite musicians or anything else they can find in the $1 bin, the aptly named Bay Area band, The Bins, are in the midst of completing their second EP. Working with Different Fur’s, Nic Pope, “Every Second of the Night” is the follow-up to their first EP “Every Minute of the Day.” Using sounds from their collection of 150+ LP’s collected from places such as Thailand, Mexico, Spain, and Chile, The Bins are unique in that their music is a composition of layers upon layers of the some of the best music from all over the world.
The Bins are currently working hard to put the finishing touches on their latest EP, but still need a little help. Halfway towards reaching their goal, The Bins are offering some cool and unique incentives to thank all of those that can help out. By pitching in, you can receive items such as autographs, t-shirts, an invitation to an advanced listening party, a personalized song, and even homemade organic vegan soap made exclusively for you by one of the band members. Check out the details and other fun giveaways such as the “Hippy Pack” here.
Also, watch the video for The Bins’ “Tell the Whole Wide World” performed by the You & Me dance troupe entitled “You & Me SF” which showcases a slightly ridiculous, yet uber sophisticate take on the music video genre appropriate to our kooky SF city.
