Legendary guitarist, Drew Zingg, has played with renowned acts such as Steely Dan, Donald Fagen, Boz Scaggs, and Michael McDonald, and is currently working on his debut album. Affectionately titled, The Drew Zingg Debut Album Project, Zingg and producer, George Petit, have been keeping fans updated on the recording process.
Recording guitar tracks for a week at Different Fur, Petit recently wrote about his experience in the studio and being able to watch Zingg in action. “The trip to SF was fantastic – the studio was a perfect choice and we were helped a great deal by assistant engineer Nic Pope and studio manager Lindsey Cundiff, making the sessions a great success.” With the majority of the album already recorded, both Petit and Zingg chose Different Fur to work on the arrangement and record additional guitar parts.
