Oslo has gone through several ups and downs throughout the years since their beginnings in 1993, and 2011 definitely marks their latest upswing. Having gone through several member and location changes as well as having songs features on shows like CSI: NY and The Unit, they have more than a few notches of experience under their belts. It’s been almost four years since their last release, The Rise and Fall of Love and Hate and they’re looking to get back into the swing of things with not one, but two new releases this year. The High Mountain Sessions 1 & 2 will be released in Spring and Fall of this year and were mastered by Patrick Brown at Different Fur. They’ve already gained recent attention with various remixes of “Superstar” and “Fever” as well as hitting some much needed credit with the blogs (like this one:http://www.pluginmusic.com/news/article/oslo-returns-with-high-mountain-sessions-vol-1 ) The two releases will definitely exemplify the to the core mesmerizing instrumentation and melancholy vocals that fans have expected from the band for the past decade and be a definite benchmark in their comeback and success.
